This 100-year-old hangar on Rouen's quays will have a front-row seat at the Armada 2027

A hundred years old, a festival to celebrate — and a prime spot facing the tall ships next year.

On 13–14 July 2026, the “C'est l'pompon” festival celebrates 100 years of the hangar of Rouen's Maritime, River and Port Museum: shows, concerts, choirs and workshops fill this timber-and-steel vessel moored on the quays.

The place is on a roll: the museum has big ambitions — some 15,000 visitors and a partnership with the Armada — and it was right opposite the museum that the Belem moored last June to launch the countdown to 2027.

Front-row in 2027

During the Armada (17–27 June 2027), the museum district will be at the heart of the festivities, steps from the hulls and masts. A good reason to scout the area this summer — and to book early if you want a Seine-facing room.
