June 2026 — Programme unveiled. The 9th Armada will gather around 40 ships from 30 nationalities. Expect nightly fireworks paired with 1,000 drones, roughly 800 swimmers crossing the Seine (water quality permitting), a new children's village and a sea-shanty choir; author Michel Bussi returns as patron. One open question: whether the concerts stay free, after the regional concert budget was cut by about €1.3M.

June 2026 — The Belem heralds the event. The famous 1896 barque called at Rouen from 17 to 21 June 2026, exactly one year ahead, as the traditional "herald ship".

The Millénium. A new highlight: around 40 Viking longships and historic vessels from Norway and Denmark will line the left bank, marking the European year of the Normans.

Cuauhtémoc likely. The Mexican navy's training ship, repaired after its 2025 incident, is expected to attend.
