Nights drawing up to 50,000 people, a €1.3-million hole — and two scenarios on the table.
It's THE question hanging over the 2027 edition. The Normandy Region will subsidise the concerts to the tune of one million euros — 1.3 million less than in 2023 — and is leaving their organisation, for the first time, to the Armada de la Liberté association, itself busy with the Millennium.
To plug the gap, president Jean-Paul Rivière has put two scenarios forward: corporate naming of the concert nights, or a ticket capped at €15. He says he prefers “plan A” — naming. Both options are being evaluated.
The concerts will remain a highlight: up to 50,000 people a night, around twenty artists, with a local or emerging act opening for a headliner. The line-up will be announced at the end of the year. Reminder: access to the quays and the ships remains completely free.
