At a press conference aboard the Belem on 19 June 2026, organisers unveiled the most family-focused programme in the event's history. From a 400-square-metre Millennium Village on the left bank to an official drawing contest judged by best-selling Norman author Michel Bussi, the 2027 edition has been designed with younger visitors in mind.

🏰 The Millennium Village: A 400m² Living History Experience

The centrepiece of the left-bank programme is the Millennium Village, a dedicated 400-square-metre event space celebrating the Millénium, Année Européenne des Normands — the 1,000-year anniversary of Norman heritage. The Région Normandie has allocated €2 million specifically for Millennium-themed animations at the Armada, and the Village is the flagship project.

Located on the left bank of the Seine (directly opposite the main tall ship fleet), the Millennium Village will feature:

One of the most charming new additions is the "Dessine moi un pont" (Draw Me a Bridge) drawing contest, organised under the patronage of Michel Bussi, the best-selling Norman author who serves as the Armada 2027's official godfather.
