The concerts

A big open-air stage by the Seine is one of the Armada's signatures, and the music programme is a genuine draw in its own right. Past editions have brought international names alongside regional acts, playing to crowds in the hundreds of thousands across the ten days.

The fireworks

Fireworks light up the river above the rigging on most evenings, with the biggest display saved for the finale. They're free to watch from the quays — find a spot along the water with a clear view of the sky over the ships.

Where to watch

• The quays, both banks — the main concert and fireworks zone; arrive early on busy nights.
• From the water — a fireworks cruise is the most spectacular (and most sought-after) seat.
• Bring a layer — evenings by the river can get cool even in June. See when to go.
