A simple hour-by-hour plan to make the most of one day at the Armada 2027 — from the morning quays to the evening fireworks.
By Armada Rouen Visitor Guide · Updated 30 June 2026
Arrive early: SNCF runs extra trains, or park on the outskirts and ride in. Start on the quays before the crowds and visit the tall ships (free), including the Belem.
Eat near the quays or in the old town around the Gros-Horloge and the cathedral, just a few minutes' walk away.
Walk the full length of the quays, cross to the left bank (Saint-Sever) for the Viking fleet, or take a Seine cruise alongside the ships.
Climb the Côte Sainte-Catherine for the big view and the best photos of the day.
Dinner near the quays or a dinner cruise, then the fireworks and ~1,000-drone show after dark.
Plan your return: extra trains run late, but crowds are heavy — don't leave it to chance.
Pack: comfortable shoes, water, and book cruises and hotels ahead.
One visit, everything sorted — hotel, cruise, car and airport transfer.
