Morning — beat the crowds
Arrive early: SNCF runs extra trains, or park on the outskirts and ride in. Start on the quays before the crowds and visit the tall ships (free), including the Belem.
Midday — lunch in the old town
Eat near the quays or in the old town around the Gros-Horloge and the cathedral, just a few minutes' walk away.
Afternoon — ships & Vikings
Walk the full length of the quays, cross to the left bank (Saint-Sever) for the Viking fleet, or take a Seine cruise alongside the ships.
Late afternoon — the panorama
Climb the Côte Sainte-Catherine for the big view and the best photos of the day.
Evening — fireworks & drones
Dinner near the quays or a dinner cruise, then the fireworks and ~1,000-drone show after dark.
Night — getting back
Plan your return: extra trains run late, but crowds are heavy — don't leave it to chance.
Pack: comfortable shoes, water, and book cruises and hotels ahead.
